OUR MINISTRIES
Our Saviour is always working hard to expand our ministry impact both within the congregation, and outside our walls through service to our neighbors. This includes short-term and long-term projects, as well as providing space for local groups and organizations to meet and provide classes and events for the community.

One long-term project is our support of the Girl in Lansing food micro-pantries. Each month, we collect donations based on a theme, such as: first aid supplies, pasta, children's snacks, baking mixes, soup, and baby supplies. The Girl in Lansing program makes a positive impact on the greater Lansing community, and Our Saviour is proud to be part of it.

Our Saviour recently served as a meeting place for American Sign Language classes provided by the Jayden M. Ross Faith Family Love Scholarship Foundation. We are also the new home of Lansing's "Purls of Wisdom" knitting and crochet group.

Our Saviour participates in the annual God's Work. Our Hands. Sunday day of service, a program of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. In September 2023, we spent an afternoon sprucing up the property for LARC, a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), community-service organization in Lansing that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Other short-term projects have included:
Assembling Personal Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief
Assembling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child
Collecting gloves, hats, and mittens for a local school

Within our faith community, there are ever-expanding opportunities for fellowship and growth. Supper Club (a themed potluck dinner) is held every month on the third Thursday. We have outings to cultural events, bake sales, mid-week soup suppers with devotions during Lent, classes, and Bible studies.
